BOOKING FAQs

How do I book?

Bookings can be made either via our online booking form or contacting us via e-mail at info@essexgamingbus.co.uk or contacting us on 0734 2920 644.

How do I pay?

Payment can be made either by bank transfer or cash.

Are there other costs?
ULEZ & toll charges will apply where applicable. Also if you have ordered any of our extras these are at an additional cost.
How much deposit is required?

All booking confirmations require a non refundable deposit of 25%.

When is the rest of the balance due?

All balances must be paid at least 7 days prior to the event unless the balance has been agreed to be paid in cash on the day of the event

What can I do if you don’t have the date I need?
Please do not hesitate to contact us, we may be able offer the date you require but at an alternative time
How will I know my booking is confirmed?

You will receive an e-mail confirming your booking once done you will be asked to pay a deposit.

How long does a party last?

At time of booking you select how long you would like to book us for.  You can select 90mins, 2hrs or 3 hrs.   

ON BOARD THE BUS FAQs

What consoles do you have?

Our party bus currently has a range of consoles from Xbox Series X, PS5, Switches, I-Pads and VR

What games are available?
We have a wide range of all the latest games, if you have a particular request, please let us know at prior to your party date and we will ensure this are set up ready to play.
Are there age restrictions with the games?

All our games are age related to the party guest unless it’s been agreed prior to the event.

In the event of an out of age game being requested Essex Gaming Bus will ask the organiser for a final decision to be made.

We cannot be held responsible in any way for obtaining the permission of the guest’s parents/guardians.

It is the party organiser’s responsibility to ensure that parental consent is obtained from all parents/guardians of party guests to play age related games

How many guests can I invite?

Our bus can hold up to 15 guests who can play simultaneously inside and additional  guests outside (Depending on weather).

Do you hold themed parties?
We can also offer theme parties, such as Fortnite, FIFA Tournaments, Lego themes parties. Please let us know at the time of booking and we will endeavour to provide the theme you require.
Is food and drink allowed on the bus?

Food and drink cannot be consumed on the bus.

ON THE DAY FAQs

What will happen on the day?
We will call you the day before your party to confirm the details and we aim to arrive 30mins before the party to set up.
What time will you arrive?
We aim to arrive 30mins ahead of the event time.
What are the parking requirements?

Our van is roughly 7.5mtrs in length therefore we require enough space for around 2.5 cars to park the bus.

Does the bus require a power supply?
Yes, we simply require a plug socket, we will bring with us a 50m extension lead.
Can the bus be used at a location without a power supply?

Yes, for an additional cost we can supply a generator 

What happens if you need a permit to park outside my property?
It is the party organiser’s responsibility to arrange this prior to the event.
Do you require WI-FI connection?
We will only require Wi-Fi connection if you have requested online gaming such as Fortnite.
Will there be a member of staff on board at all times?

Yes, a member of the team will be there at all times to assist with any needs.

Whilst our hosts are there to provide technical support with the gaming consoles etc. the party organisers (yourself) are still responsible for the children.

ADMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS FAQs

Can I amend a booking once it has been confirmed?
Amendments can be made such as date or time changes.
Do you have a cooling off period?
No, however, we can hold a booking for 48hrs without a deposit.
Can I cancel a booking once it has been paid in full?
In the event of a cancellation the deposit is non-refundable. If a booking has been paid in full, you will be able to reschedule your booking.

OTHER QUESTIONS

What additional services to you offer?

We offer additional gaming time, plus extras such as Sweet Cones and  a Prosecco wall (very popular with the mums).

What happens if you are unable to make the party on time due to an accident?
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (i.e breakdowns) we reserve the right to offer a full refund or an alternative date and/or time. We will always aim to inform the party organiser of any changes ASAP.
What happens if the party gets cancelled because of COVID-19

If the party is cancelled because the government has introduced new restrictions then a full refund will be offered.

If the party is cancelled because of a guest falling sick from COVID-19 then a new party date will be offered but no refund will be given.
